I am looking to understand how the terms of Cox service relates to where you are allowed to use paid for cable services. For example, I live on property that has a guest house in the back that has a separate mailing address and who pay for Cox internet and cable service. Their cable drop goes from the pole, to a grounded house box on the side of our house, and then into a underground conduit for about 50feet to their house. They were concerned about the increasing pressure on bandwidth caps, and we were looking to obtain a mini box for the most basic services so we can see local news for EAS and other real time emergencies. My thought was to use the conduit with MoCA and share my FIOS internet (with no cap) with them and in return they would rent a another mini box for their account, but that would be in my house. There are several technical concerns I have, but for now I am wondering if this would be breaking Cox rules. Does sub-renting include giving away of service for free?
