Hello I have been having major internet connectivity problems for several weeks now. The internet was going out for a random amount of time, then when either I would call and do the automated restart of the modem it would sometimes kick back on, the uptime is random from hours-1day but the router always returns to "cycling" and unable to get a connection.
The cable line comes from the street into a splitter that goes to -3.5dB out on both ports

, the wire then goes downstairs(downstairs living area where the cable tv/modem/router are). Cox cable was called and they added a powered cable line amplifier
52-1000Mhz Fwd(+11dB) 5-42MHz Trn(-4dB) http://i.imgur.com/768GFCQ.jpg
The cable then goes through one last splitter which is the problem pictured here

When I bypass this last splitter the cable modem works immediately, so heres my question. I don't really know much about power levels, I'm not sure what type of splitter I should be using (dB) to solve this problem. I randomly found that the splitter was the problem this morning, after 2 service calls and changing out the modem and the router. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
