Internet has been terrible this past week - Baton Rouge

My internet has been really bad this past week. During the flooding there was no problem at all. However, I've been getting terrible connection this past week. Frequent dropping/slowness. I was hoping posting over here would be more beneficial than contacting support via cox, as I want "real" tech help. I had a DPQ3212, but switched to a SB6183 hoping that it would help which sadly didn't. I don't know if it's due to all the new apartment complexes opening up in my area.
