I am having random disconnects with my cable modem. Its new and all the lines from the street to the modem are all under three years old. I had this problem before so I have been monitoring the signal levels of the modem. I seem to be getting too many correctable, and uncorrectable codewords all the time. When I see the connection drop I refresh the modem signal status and my upstream power levels are jumping from the low 40s to 51. I have dealt with this before and it was a nightmare to get them to fix it last time. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to get cox to fix the problem instead of just telling me that its a loose connection or a bad splitter, I only have one and they just installed this service last month. I have a COX tech coming out late today.
