I am getting the feeling that this was another fiber to the press and not provide actual service type of thing. I live in Mountain Vail Ranch and was told by my local store that we would have gigablast in April. It's now April 23rd and still no gigablast. The equipment is in, fiber still has to be ran to the peds but no movement. Everything is just sitting there.
Back last month COX announced that, To begin moving into the Tucson market, the service is first being presented to customers at The Place at Presidio Trails.
Later on during the first phase of rollouts, Quail Creek in Green Valley, The Place at Spanish Trail and the Mountain Vail community will also be involved.
I have checked addresses at cox.com/gig and none of the announced areas have access to gigablast. I don't understand how you would invest in putting this type of service in only to let it sit idle. Anyone know who the area's construction manager is? I would really like to know when I can get installed.
