Hello all,
For the last 6 months or so I have been having issues during peek hours with my download speeds. I am currently subscribed to the 100Mbit package and during peek hours I am lucky if I get 10% of that. The last thing I have been told is that a "node split" or something similar is going to happen as the node that supports my area is over saturated. All I am looking for is some concrete dates on when this is going to happen. September of last yea I was told 4th quarter 2015. That time has come and passed. In January I was told within 60 days. That time has come and passed. Now I am being told sometime in the 1st or 2nd quarter of 2016.
This has become very frustrating as I pay for a service that should allow my family to stream multiple shows from hulu/netflix and such without problems. Yet during peek hours we are lucky if we can get one stream to function without buffering 10 times during a 1 hour show.
In my attachments, I will include screenshots of tests I have done both through my router as well as directly connected to the Cox provided DOCSIS 3.0. You can see that during normal hours of the day the speeds are fine and this issue is only present during peek hours. All I want to know is when will this fix action be taken so that I can finally get what I pay for?
Also, I have a variety of ticket numbers that may or may not be useful.
71827223 - Tier 1 or Tier 2 support ticket.
1369076 - Escalation ticket.
2783451 - Tier 2 ticket.
9030163 - Tier 2 ticket.
I also have a reference thread over on the Cox support forums with some additional information.
