My Scientific Atlantic Explorer 8240HD passed away a few weeks ago, the hard drive suffered a massive failure while recording Jeopardy. Rather than exchange it, the Cox Rep convinced me to replace it with a Cisco Explorer 8642HDC (no extra fees as I don't have any of the extra services). The most notable difference is the software. I'm not sure I like the Contour over the Rovi AND the Cisco Explorer 8642HDC does NOT support PIP, which I did get used to during football season. Is there any real advantage to the Cisco Explorer 8642HDC that would want me to keep it rather then exchange it for another Scientific Atlantic Explorer 8240HD?
