:mad:For the last month I've been dealing with packet loss of ~11 %. Contacted cox to schedule a technician to come out. A contractor came out tried showing me some signals on his phone saying my system was fine. While he was showing me I was running ping plotter and getting 8-10% packet loss and 3200ms ping spikes. He left without fixing anything. I got on the phone with cox and they rescheduled someone to come out. I was assured by the cox representative that it would be a in house cox technician. I took of work so I could be at home for the rescheduled appointment. Another contractor showed up with no meter no ladder. He undid and removed a 6dB attenuator said that is most likely your problem that it doesn't belong one a cox system( It was installed by cox). I contacted cox again because the issue was not fixed. Spent 2 hours troubleshooting on the phone with cox. They said there seemed to be an issue with the node in the area, a lot of modems in the area were timing out. Another appointment was rescheduled, again was assured it would be someone from cox. Again a contractor showed up and ran some test on his phone and said I shouldn't have an issue that he couldn't do anything. Again contacted and told the appointment would have to be rescheduled. I am tried having to take off work to be home for the service call only to get technicians that can fix my issue.
