[CA] Upgrading to 100Mbps - How many channels can be use for up/down?

Howdy All, I go an email from Cox about a special promotion they are having for $5 extra a month, I can upgrade to the 100Mbps (currently on 50Mbps @ $49.99) I am considering the upgrade, but have a few questions on the modem: I currently have the SB6121 which is rated from manufacture to support 172 Mbps, but only supports 4 channels up and down. My question is: does the Cox network allow for all 4 channels to be used? If it is allowed, then it makes sense not to upgrade the modem. However, if Cox limits the number of channels I can use via this modem (which I suspect is true), then it makes sense to upgrade to a newer modem... correct? If I do upgrade modems, which does everyone recommend? I was thinking about getting SB6183 or SB6141. I like the idea of SB6183 with 16 channels down, but doing the math, the break even point of owning the modem vs renting is years out. By that time, I would assume DOCSIS 3.1 will be out and I have to order a new modem anyways... so SB6141 sounds like a solid buy. Let me know your thoughts! Thanks in advance, -Adam
