I'm not sure exactly when it happened, but I do usually check my data about once a week on their website. My Premier account used to show a cap of 300GB per month. I just checked this morning and it now says 700GB per month. Uhhh WHAT?!?
The timing is a little funny. As I feel the $84 per month for getting nothing but internet is a bit steep, I've been looking forward to Verizon FIOS coming to my neighborhood. Well, on my door knob Tuesday morning was an orange hanger stating that Verizon was going to be in my neighborhood to dig and lay down fiber optic lines. Yeah... FIOS is finally coming... While Verizon charges pretty damn near the same price, they *do* tend to throw a few incentives in to get you to change and stay with them for two years. (Like $300 if you get one of their triple-play packages - not that I care for their phone service)
While I'm sure Cox plans these things on a regional, if not national level, the timing sure is funny. lol $84 for a 300GB data cap that they'll SOME DAY enforce is a sure bet that I'd leave. But 700GB makes it a little more interesting. Now I just need to see where Verizon's is.
