I have some family members moving into a new home (new home to them, the house has been there about 15 years) and we were checking the address on Cox.net and it says they don't service that address. It forwarded us to Cablemover page which then says Cox services the area. The area is Denham Springs, LA and I know Cox is the cable provider there. I checked a few other addresses next door to them and across the street and those addresses are serviced by Cox.
I went out to the house and there is no cable line coming to the house. I can see a Cox cable junction box near the driveway. The neighbor says she has Cox too. So how would I go about getting this corrected? Would there be a charge to run the cable line from the end of the driveway? It's a standard residential city neighborhood with underground utilities. I've checked with UVerse and they can get the 45 megabit service but I don't want to go down that road.
Is there special number we should call? I fear we are going to get the run around from CSR's that say they don't service the address and the homeowner will just give up and get UVerse.
