I am connected via Cisco DPQ3212C modem which bonds 8 downstream channels.
Almost without exception when I check the readings they are in this range:
Power Level: Signal to Noise Ratio:
Channel 1: -6.0 dBmV 39.3 dB
Channel 2: -4.8 dBmV 39.9 dB
Channel 3: -5.1 dBmV 39.8 dB
Channel 4: -5.6 dBmV 39.2 dB
Channel 5: -8.2 dBmV 38.0 dB
Channel 6: -8.7 dBmV 37.9 dB
Channel 7: -8.9 dBmV 37.2 dB
Channel 8: -9.1 dBmV 37.5 dB
My Q is why are Channels 1-4 usually 4-6db and 5-8 8-10db?
