It's been over a month and the Cox email server problems continue in Southern California/Arizona. Service is erratic, sometimes email updates and sometimes not. Problem is worst during morning and evening busy times. Late at night it usually goes away, only to surface again the next morning. It initially only affected people using clients and IMAP servers but now iPhone email is also affected. Problem is getting worse rather than better.
Contacting tech support is useless, Tier 1 people aren't even aware of any 'problem' and Tier 2 'experts recite that it is being 'worked on'. Meanwhile more and more posts show up on the Cox Internet Forum describing the same characteristics. Forum admins give advice on tweaking settings despite this being an obvious COX problem.
The frustrating feeling is that there does not seem to be any sense of urgency at COX to fix the problem.
