I'm on Cox and on the east side of Las Vegas, and for the last several days, I've been seeing Google properties timing out, namely gmail and google search, as these are the only ones I use heavily. Periodically through out the day for the last several days, not at any specific time, I get browser timeouts on Google search and gmail. When I get these timeouts, I try other non-Google websites, and they are perfectly normal. I usually keep a browser up connected to gmail, and when these happen, I get an error on the gmail page saying "gmail not available at this time". These "outages" last perhaps 5-7 minutes, then alls back working again. I've seen it happen twice today. Being a retired system admin/support tech, I'm pretty sure this *isn't* something wrong on my network, but with either Google or Cox (or some peering point in between)... Anyone else in Vegas noticing these??
