I started using Cox HSI again in Mesa, AZ.( I just have HSI) Looks like they are still having packet loss problems in my area. I live by Center and Brown. I have been getting disconnects in online gaming and in streaming video in Netflix, Youtube etc. I have been running ping plotter the last few days. I will show the results of pinging my first hop here in Arizona for several hours today and yesterday.
I had two cox techs come out Thursday to address the issue. They checked all the lines outside the house and inside the house. They said all the signals looked great and couldn't find any problems. They went ahead and replaced my cable modem to try and troubleshoot the issue. This did not fix it. Infact, right after they replaced it I showed them continued packet loss problems, they apparently wanted to leave since it was near the end of the day and just told me to call them the next day if I am still having issues.... They also mentioned some nonsense about your average users not noticing these kinds of problems, give me a break.
Some troubleshooting I have done on my own includes using various computers on my network to replicate the issue, I even swapped out network cards in my main computer. Nothing I do on my end fixes the problem.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to handle this please help. I feel like I never get anywhere with these techs. This problem is super infuriating since everyone just seems to pass the buck on this problem.
