Well, hell.
There's three people in the house, and though I admittedly use the net the most, we've never gone over our cap of 300 GB. However, I looked at the usage today, and holy macaroni Batman, we're over. Like, REALLY over. 643.91 GB over to be exact. Damn near had a heart attack. I read the FAQ, and it says there are no penalties, charges, or throttling for this. We've been model customers this whole time, and we believe our wireless was hacked, since one day our combined usage was over 340 GB (none of us have Netflix or download anything illegal). We mostly just surf, watch YouTube, and game. So we changed the password and hopefully, this will save us future issues.
We all agreed to stay off YouTube and stay away from MMOs for a bit till our usage resets in about a week. We've gotten no emails, phone calls, or warnings from Cox. Are we okay? Was the FAQ factual, saying there were no charges for going over. Two people in the house need the net for school-related things and them losing home use of the net would be disastrous. We're usually model customers.
