I have been teaching myself IPv6 and I was playing around on my home LAN today and noticed I seemed to be getting a global IPv6 address from Cox.
Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 2002:48c0:30d9:e472:a544:e62f:[removed]:[removed] Temporary IPv6 Address. . . . . . : 2002:48c0:30d9:e472:19c8:a76b:[removed]:[removed] Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::a544:e62f:c0ee:c8cd%3 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : fe80::861b:5eff:fe2c:26b5%3
When I disabled IPv4 on my laptop I could still hit known public IPv6 sites (like ipv6.google.com, facebook) but not sites that haven't upgraded their connections (such as dslreports.com).
