Site is more about network access but I am curious about others that might have switched their TV to Dish from Cox.
Cox is expensive for what we watch. We have DVR's in 4 rooms but don't watch things like HBO etc... one DVR in my office is non-HD which I have a slingbox hooked up to so I can remote access stuff (Baseball mainly).
Looking in detail at Dish, we can get basically the same channels for 4 rooms with wireless remote boxes for around $80 a month (+taxes) that we are currently paying ~$190 for with Cox. I called Cox to see if they could do something on the bill and they offered a 20% discount for one year which is still almost $100 more a month.
I am not moving the Internet which is a Cox Business Internet connection for my home office to which I split off a part for residential service so that is completely separate and won't change.
