Long story short, I hadn't heard about this virus. For about a week my phone browsers have been getting bizarre popups I've never had before. Last night my tablet was connecting to the router fine, but no internet, and I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Eventually I checked my router status and saw the DNS servers were way, way off from the normal 68.whatever Cox servers.
I then Googled, changed the servers back, disabled remote administration, and rebooted.
The Googling turns up a lot of news stories about this, and also about disabling remote admin, but I can't find anything else about what I need to do. My computers are passing malware and antivirus scans just fine. But am I missing something? Was something put on one of the PC's on my network I need to be concerned with, or was this strictly the router?
