I am a new Cox subscriber, I only have Internet (Ultimate package).
I have an SB6182 modem and am experiencing 1-1.5% packet loss. It shows up whether I do a packet count of 100 or 10,000. Is this normal?
I'm in the process of moving, and at the old house I have Time Warner Cable with an SB6141 and TWC's 30 Mbps / 5 Mbps package - see about 1-2% packet loss as well. Is this just normal? Two homes, two providers, two different modems - similar amount of packet loss.
My SB6182 with Cox shows eight downstream channels, each with power level of between -2 dBmV and -6 dBmV with SNR 40-42 dB. Four Upstream channels with power level of 40.3 dBmV and doesn't deviate from that. The installer put an attenuator on the line where it comes in the house to lower upstream power levels.
